Kuentoo is the payment company behind the checkout. We give restaurants, tour operators, rental companies, hotels and shops in the Dutch Caribbean one place to accept cards, wallets and bank payments, and we pay the money out to their own bank account.
Who is behind Kuentoo
Kuentoo grew out of Caribious, the booking and settlement platform that has been processing tours, rentals and restaurant bookings on Bonaire since 2024. Merchants kept asking the same question: why do card payments cost so much and why does the money arrive so late? Kuentoo is our answer. Same team, same island, one focus: payments that are fast, transparent and fairly priced.

How the money flows
Kuentoo is a payment facilitator. Card payments are authorised and captured on a PCI DSS Level 1 certified processing platform operated by our licensed acquiring partner. Kuentoo never sees or stores your customers' card numbers.
Every transaction, fee, refund and payout is recorded in a ledger that you can see in your portal, line by line, and export at any time. Payouts go to the bank account you registered during onboarding and nowhere else. Your monthly statement shows exactly what was collected, what was charged and what was paid out.
What we stand for
- Transparent pricing. One rate per payment method, published on this website. No hidden fees, no surprises on the statement.
- Local. We are on Bonaire, in the same time zone, speaking Dutch, English, Papiamentu and Spanish. If a terminal fails on a Saturday, you reach a person.
- Know your customer. Every merchant is verified before going live: identity, company registration and bank account. That protects you, your customers and us.
- Your money is your money. We do not lend, invest or hold merchant funds beyond the settlement cycle stated in your agreement.

Payment pages are always at https://kuentoo.com/pay, e-mails come from @kuentoo.com, and we never ask for card details, passwords or one-time codes by e-mail, phone or chat.
